SUNDAY June 11, 2017 National Park Service sites in Alaska WEATHER: 43 in Helena at 0330, clear; at this same time it’s 48 in S itka and starting to rain; I’ve been looking for summer for what seems a long time . . . . cloudy (as expected) in Seattle , when flying I think I saw the top of Mt. Ranier – of curse the clouds hid it when I was on the ground. Same for Sitka – cloudy – occasional rain – this is also rain forest – couldn’t t see the snow capped mountains when I arrived.
